During the summer season, whether on horseback or jousting, the knights of Warwick Castle are a highly popular and colourful attraction each year. In medieval times knights started training as young as age seven. As knighthood evolved during the middle ages, chivalry and knightly behaviour including respect for the church, protection of the poor and the weak, loyalty to one's superiors and preservation of personal honour became manners accepted and expected of every knight.
